Release builds require HTTPS for control endpoints — sign-in, catalogue and guide requests — because those carry your credentials. Media itself plays over whatever your provider serves.

Credentials stay on the device
Your provider username, password, MAC and playlist URLs live in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. They are never uploaded to us.
Your video never touches our servers
The app asks your provider for a stream and pulls it straight from their CDN. We are not in the path, so we could not log it if we wanted to.
No ads, no trackers
No advertising identifier, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter. Channel names, search terms and stream URLs are never sent to us.
An account is optional
Sign in with an emailed code only if you want settings to follow you between devices. Delete it any time from Account or the web.

A few things
you might be wondering.
Does Rhoe include channels or a subscription?
No. Rhoe is only a player. It ships with no channels, no playlists, no catalogue and no provider built in. You connect a service you already pay for, and you are responsible for having the right to watch what you connect.
Which IPTV connection types does Rhoe support?
Xtream Codes compatible portals with a server URL, username and password; M3U and M3U8 playlists by URL or file import, with optional XMLTV guide data; Stalker portals; and a single direct stream URL over HTTPS, RTSP, RTMP or UDP.
Where are my provider credentials stored?
On your device, in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore. They are never uploaded to a Rhoe server and never appear in preference sync payloads.
Do I need a Rhoe account to watch?
No. A Rhoe account is optional and only exists to sync your settings, favourites and progress between devices. Without one, everything stays on the device you set up.
Does Rhoe work on Android TV and Fire TV?
Yes. There is a separate ten-foot build with full D-pad focus handling, a channel drawer sized for a television and a guide you can drive entirely from the remote.
Why is a 4K channel audio only in my desktop browser?
Desktop browsers usually cannot decode the HEVC video those channels use, so you get sound with no picture. It is a browser codec limit, not a fault in the player — the iPhone, Android and Android TV apps play the same channel normally.
Does Rhoe show ads or track what I watch?
There are no ads, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics or crash SDKs in the app. Rhoe does not build a viewing profile.
How much does Rhoe cost?
The player is free to download and use. You keep paying whatever your IPTV provider charges, directly to them. Rhoe never handles that.
